Founder and Facilitator
Marianne Walker
With more than a decade in human services and deep connections to community and culture, Marianne brings both lived experience and professional expertise to her work.
An Indigenous woman and mother with a background in human services, life coaching, relationship building, and adult learning, she is ready to assist service delivery teams to transform their practice using the EMPOWERED framework and workshop series.
As the founder of Empowered Practice, Marianne designs and delivers cusgtom training rooted in cultural awareness and trauma responsiveness.
Through the EMPOWERED framework, front-line staff and leaders are equipped with practical tools to strengthen their practice, serve with confidence, and foster inclusive, culturally safe environments.
At the heart of all, she does is a deep seated belief in empowerment — of people, families, and communities — to thrive through connection, resilience, and culturally grounded practice.
